Mirza Teletovic

One of three players who ESPN’s Brian Windhorst mentioned as players the Bucks would be open to moving in a deal due to their significant salaries, one year on from being linked to the Bucks at the deadline, and eight months on from signing with them, it’s possible Mirza Teletovic could finish Thursday with a new team.

Teletovic has helped the Bucks significantly with his floor spacing in his time on the court so far this season, but unfortunately he’s been drawing defenders based on reputation rather than actual production.

Making less than 35 percent of his three-pointers, the Bosnian native is shooting well below his career average, which perhaps explains why he’s only played 46 games and 751 minutes to date.

Teletovic’s relationship with Bucks coach Jason Kidd dates back to their time together with the Brooklyn Nets, but if the Milwaukee front office is worried that they made a mistake with the three-year $31.5 million contract he was signed to this summer, they won’t hesitate in trying to move him on. Just ask Miles Plumlee.

Although Teletovic’s salary is significant, he could certainly help a contender. As many noted on Wednesday, if the Bucks were to look to deal, the Houston Rockets could be a logical destination.
