Potential Collison Trades

It’s not easy to make a deal between the Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings for Darren Collison work out. Salaries have to match because neither team has a ton of cap space, and both teams having recently-traded players makes things more complicated.

Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes both could be swapped for Collison straight-up, but since they were recently traded they can’t be combined with another player on the Bucks in a deal. One of them and a Bucks pick could be the move here.

Milwaukee has all of their picks aside from a 2019 second rounder, and according to David Aldridge it will take more than that to secure Collison anyway.

That means the most likely deal could be Hibbert or Hawes and a future first, probably one that’s at least partially protected.

It’s a nice pipe dream to imagine the Bucks stealing Collison for Rashad Vaughn, but the salaries don’t match and he can’t be combined with either Hibbert or Hawes in a deal, making that tough to work out.
