Major Key For Milwaukee: Focus On Kyrie

This may seem like an obvious major key, but sometimes the simplest answer is the best one. The Cavaliers will certainly be without Kevin Love, and they’ll either have a kind-of-sick LeBron James or no LeBron James. (We’re going to ignore the possibility of a LeBron Flu Game for now.)

That leaves Kyrie Irving as the first and best option for the Cavaliers. Without Love and LeBron, Cleveland relied on a pair of 36-year-olds in James Jones and Richard Jefferson against Chicago. Those two actually did pretty well in that game, but it’s tough to ask them to contribute a lot on a consistent basis.

Only three Cavs besides Kyrie dropped ten or more points in that game, and those three combined barely outscored Cleveland’s star point guard (they had a 39-34 advantage.)

Simply put, if there’s a way to slow down Uncle Drew, the Bucks can make things a whole lot easier on Monday night. Matthew Dellavedova hasn’t looked exceptional lately, just exceptionally gritty, so that’ll be easier said than done.
