Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Win Over Phoenix Suns
By Reid Mueller
Bench Beas
The former second overall pick had a stretch that showed why he was once thought to be the next dominant big man to hit the NBA. During the second quarter, Beasley erupted for 11 points off the bench.
He wasn’t taking unnecessary shots, he simply took advantage of the mismatch presented to him. If they gave him an open lane, he used his athleticism to soar into the lane to drop the ball down for an easy lay in. If they played him for the drive, he pulled up with his favorite mid-range jumper.
He finished the night scoring 17 points on 8-10 shooting from the field, and 1-1 from the line. He also provided the Bucks with three rebounds, two steals, and a block.
When he’s locked in, he looks like one of the most explosive bench scorers in the NBA. His athleticism is truly at an elite level. No other Buck takes the deer on as their spirit animal when they jump like Beas. His hang time is just a thing of beauty.
