A Savvy Night For Brogdon

After his great performance against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon, Malcolm Brogdon picked up right where he left off last night, turning in an incredibly solid performance.

Playing 31 minutes on the night, Brogdon was the most reliable player the Bucks had on the night, scoring a team-high 20 points on 15 shots, grabbing three rebounds and handing out five assists.

All night long, Brogdon was very effective offensively as he moved the ball with purpose and he capitalized on his many opportunities to score. He flashed his shooting range, hitting 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and worked his way into the paint for tough finishes through traffic.

He had the tough assignment of being matched up against the dynamic Kyrie Irving and although slowing him down wasn’t an option for Brogdon, he held his own in trying to match Irving beat for beat.

A night like this only builds a bigger case for Brogdon’s Rookie of the Year prospects, which may become a bigger deal than it seemed not that long ago.  Where this season is headed for the Bucks, that sounds like a nice consolation prize at this point (Yes, I’m literally clutching many straws at the moment).
