Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Loss To Cleveland Cavaliers
Far From A Super Cool Beas Night
By far the biggest takeaway of the night was the unfortunate injury to Michael Beasley.
Getting the starting nod in place of Middleton, Beasley started off the scoring for the Bucks for the night before going quiet and getting pulled midway through the first quarter. At the start of the second, it looked as if Beasley was just getting warmed up, scoring buckets in succession.
As we all know, though, Beasley’s night was cut short at the 8:34 mark of the second quarter after injuring his knee in gruesome fashion (we won’t subject you to seeing his injury, but legs are definitely not supposed to bend that way). Obviously that was the last we saw of Beasley for the night, and as of now, we’re waiting to hear what the true diagnosis of his injury is.
No matter the case, it could be a stunning blow for Beasley, whose season has caught everyone by surprise and yet another terrible bout of injury luck for the Bucks following the loss of Jabari Parker.
However severe Beasley’s injury is, it’s another test to the team’s depth and the timing of this only raises the importance of the addition of Axel Toupane, who the Bucks officially brought in on a 10-day contract over the weekend.
But that’s getting ahead of ourselves at the moment and clearly, Beasley’s health comes first and foremost.
