Major Key For Denver: Get That Ball Moving

The Denver Nuggets have been straight dealing this season. Denver is fourth among NBA teams in assists per game, just barely edging out the Bucks for that spot. When the Nuggets get the ball really zipping around the floor, they become nigh unstoppable.

Denver has recorded 30 or more assists as a team 11 times this season. In those games the Nuggets are 9-2, with their only losses coming against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors.

One of those wins was against the Bucks in early February. Denver posted 31 assists and managed to outscore Milwaukee by four, even though the Bucks dropped 117 on Denver. The Nuggets defense isn’t great, so this team needs to be potent on offense to win games.

One of the more fascinating parts about Denver’s passing is that no one Nugget averages more than five assists per game. Jameer Nelson leads the way with 4.9 dimes per contest, but it’s the second-place assists man in Denver who deserves the most attention.
