Major Key For Los Angeles: Nail Some Threes

The Clippers with Chris Paul on the floor are a good team no matter what they do, but Los Angeles is especially dangerous when the team makes a lot of their three-point attempts, like most teams in the NBA these days.

When the Clippers make 40 percent or more of their three-point attempts, the team is 20-4. Having capable shooters like J.J. Redick, Chris Paul, Austin Rivers and Marreese Speights on the team has lifted L.A. to fourth in the NBA in three-point percentage.

This team doesn’t hesitate much about firing away, either. Los Angeles is 11th in the NBA in attempted threes per game and eighth in made threes per game, a testament to their accuracy from long-range.

Considering the Bucks’ tendency to leave shooters wide open beyond the arc, the Clippers three-point shooting might be the single most-important thing to watch for on Friday night. If the Bucks let shooters like Redick and Rivers slip open repeatedly it will become very difficult for Milwaukee to stay close to the Clippers.
