Major Key For Toronto: Move The Basketball

The Toronto Raptors offense dates back to somewhere in the Cretaceous Period, when real velociraptors roamed the Earth (thanks for that one, Wikipedia!) Toronto is last in the NBA in assists per game.

The Raptors, even with Kyle Lowry on the team, average just 18.3 assists per game this season. Lowry himself puts up nearly seven dimes per game! Toronto does a lot of dribbling and not enough passing, and it makes their offense look very dated at times.

In the first of two games the Raps had against the Washington Wizards, Toronto scored just 96 points on 11 assists. In the second of those games the Raptors won 114-106, but still managed just 16 assists.

For the Raptors to hold off the Bucks bizarre, random surges of good basketball, they will need to rack up more than just a handful of assists. Toronto is 6-0 when the team gets 25 or more assists in a game, and 17-6 when the Raps get at least 20 dimes.
