Player To Watch: Kristaps Porzingis

A huge game from Carmelo Anthony might propel the Knicks to victory (or at least make a more entertaining game for Knicks fans) but the real player to watch here is Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis may have been booed when he was drafted by the Knicks, but he’s quickly grown on their fans.

That’s mostly because the Zinger is damn good. He’s averaging 18.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.9 blocks in 32.8 minutes per game. Porzingis is efficient too, and is currently shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from long range.

The best part of Bucks/Knicks games is watching the two unicorns do battle. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kristaps Porzingis are two of the absolute best young players the NBA has to offer, and both of them signify the huge role international players have in today’s NBA.

Giannis might’ve been better the last time these teams faced off, but Porzingis came away with the win. The Greek Freak posted 25 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and six blocks, while Porzingis put up 24 points, six boards and three blocks.
