Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Loss To Golden State Warriors
By Ti Windisch
An Off Night
The Milwaukee Bucks need Giannis Antetokounmpo to play up to his All-Star level for the team to win most of the time, especially with all of the injuries the team is dealing with. Unfortunately, he did not on Saturday night against the Warriors.
Giannis put up nine points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks in 31 minutes played. The Greek Freak shot just four-for-14 from the field, missed his only three-point attempt and made one of his two free throws.
In short: he didn’t look like the Giannis Antetokounmpo who Bucks fans are so used to. The Warriors crowded the paint and made life difficult for him, and as a result Giannis could not get going at really any point.
Golden State outscored Milwaukee by 25 points in Giannis’ 31 minutes, the worst mark among all Bucks who played on Saturday. Just as Curry was on against the Bucks, Giannis was off against the Warriors. It happens.
