Previous: 20th. Charlotte Hornets. 20. team. 170. Sitting three games back of the eighth spot, Charlotte’s hopes of making the playoffs are slim. This past week had them going up against three playoff teams, the Pacers, Hawks, and Wizards. The Hornets lost to Indianapolis, but rallied back to beat Atlanta and Washington. They have a very tough schedule to end the season, with 10 of their last 12 games coming against probable playoff teams.. (31-39)

team. 24. The Bulls fell another spot in the rankings this week, although it had more to do with the hot play of the Portland Trail Blazers. The Bulls only sit one game out of the eighth spot in the East, but with <a rel=. (33-38). Previous: 18th. Chicago Bulls. 19

Portland had a big week of basketball, taking on playoff teams as they try to make up ground on the Nuggets. They won three games on the road against the Spurs, Hawks, and Heat, and lost to the Bucks Tuesday night. Never count out Damian Lillard, who scored 36, 27, 49, and 31 this week. If they can get to the playoffs red hot, they could give the Warriors another interesting, yet non threatening series. Portland sits a game behind the Nuggets for the eighth spot.. (32-38). (33-37). Previous: 15th. Denver Nuggets. 17. team. 73. The Nuggets have dropped two spots in the rankings after a very difficult week. They went 1-2, beating the Clippers before losing back to back games against the Houston Rockets. The Trail Blazers are right on their tail and the Nuggets need to put wins on the board if they’re heading to the postseason. Next week brings home games against the Cavaliers and Pelicans, and road games against the Pacers and Trail Blazers.

16. team. 64. The Pistons had a difficult start to their week with match ups against the Jazz and Raptors. They’d lose both games by double digits. The schedule did them a solid with a match up versus the Suns, which they took care of 17 points. The week ends with a loss to the Brooklyn Nets. They had a chance to slide into the playoffs with a win and a Bucks loss, but they couldn’t take down the Nets. Next week gives them three road games against lottery teams in the east, before hosting the Heat in what will be a big game for playoff seeding.. (34-37). Previous: 14th. Detroit Pistons
