Once again, Vaughn wasn’t bad when he was on the floor, he just wasn’t on the floor much. Because he played just 14 minutes this week, connecting on 2-of-5 shots from three-point land, let’s dedicate this time to his improvement from Year 1 to Year 2.
Year 1: 70 GP, 14.3 MPG, 3.1 PPG, 30.5 FG%, 29.3 3P%, 38.5 EFG%
Year 2: 34 GP, 10.9 MPG, 3.3 PPG, 36.4 FG%, 32.4 3P%, 45.5 EFG%

These are obviously not drastic improvements, but they are steps in the right direction. Jason Terry is clearly the back-up guard behind the duo of Khris Middleton and Tony Snell right now, but who is going to be that guy when the Jet eventually hangs up the sneakers? Vaughn is only 20 years old and it is too early to give up on this guy. He will likely never be a starting-caliber player, but maybe can continue to improve to the point of being a valuable role player. We just don’t know what that role is right now, as the three-point shot is still not where it needs to be.
. SG. Previous: 10th. Rashad Vaughn. 12. team. 89
