Middleton Struggles

The Bucks were looking to run the offense through Khris Middleton early and often on Sunday. He had his moments where it looked like he was going to help the Bucks get back into the game, but the shots just weren’t falling.

He shot a below average 6-17 from the field, 2-6 from three, and never made it to the foul line. The Bucks’ star looked a little worn down, and unable to create space for himself. Middleton didn’t post up his matchup as often as the Bucks fans have come to expect, instead attempting highly contested shots at the end of the shot clock.

The offense wasn’t flowing through Giannis on this occasion, leaving Middleton to attempt to carry the team. He’s played great of late, but it’s still a tall order to ask him to carry the team to victories, especially for the team’s fourth game of the week.

Middleton gets one day off before the team plays the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday. The more rest he finds for himself, the better.
