Hawes did not do much this week, and that’s okay. He is receiving spotty minutes and providing a little bit of a scoring punch in his time. He attempted a shot every 3.4 minutes he was on the floor over the past week, knocking home 50 percent of his attempts.
Spencer is unlikely to see more than 15 minutes per game in the postseason, but his occasional minutes will provide major relief for the big men playing major minutes, most specifically Greg Monroe. When Henson comes back from injury, Hawes’ role will likely see another decrease, but he will always be available to come off the bench as the third or fourth big man if foul trouble starts to become an issue in the postseason.
.
