Release The Thon

Thon Maker was incredible on Friday night. Thon took over the game at times and always seemed to be in the right position to make a huge play, whether it was his second-chance layup to send the game into overtime or his tip out to Khris Middleton for a three that would create Milwaukee’s last lead.

Thon set a career-high in scoring with 23 points. He made nine of 12 field goals to get there, and converted on four of his seven three-point attempts. Thon also added two rebounds and a steal.

It’s a little crazy he didn’t pick up an assist on Friday night, because Thon passed the ball a lot. The one criticism that Giannis had of Thon was actually that he was passing up too many shots, which came with a threat of being punched by the Greek Freak.

Apparently, that tough love worked well for Thon Maker, Shot Taker.

This team is so fantastic. With fellow rookie phenom Malcolm Brogdon sitting out due to back tightness, it was great to get to watch Thon show out and begin to prove why he was taken with the 10th overall pick.
