Greek Freak On Fleek

Triple-doubles are a pretty big deal this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo may not be racking them up like Russell Westbrook, but he got one on Monday night. GIannis’ eighth career triple-double tied the Greek Freak with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most in franchise history.

Despite how cool it is to tie with Kareem in any sort of record, this was very nearly the least impressive triple-double possible. Giannis posted 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in 36 minutes played against Charlotte.

The Hornets are a disciplined team and they don’t foul often, which is probably why Giannis failed to get to the free throw line at all on Monday. The Bucks as a team shot just five free throws, four coming from Greg Monroe himself.

Even if triple-doubles are fairly arbitrary, notching one is still an impressive feat. Anytime Giannis racks up 10 assists the Bucks are probably in pretty good shape. Milwaukee is 5-1 in games where Giannis accrues at least 10 dimes this season after the win on Monday night.
