Major Key For Boston: Don’t Forget To Win

This is probably a top-five regular season trap game of this year for the Boston Celtics. The Bucks aren’t just without Giannis–they’re also without Khris Middleton plus the smaller two-thirds of the Delly, Snelly, Telly trifecta.

That would make this seem like a sure thing for the Celtics, who will likely have most of their team available to play on Wednesday. That’s the same Boston squad that’s already won 52 games this season, tied with the Cavs for the best record in the East.

Although the talent level is lower for the Bucks without those four players, the energy level might actually go up. Role players will get starter’s minutes, and fringe, end of the bench guys are likely going to see fairly significant minutes.

The Celtics have to be wary that they don’t take this game too seriously. Coming out of the gate tight and letting pressure build unnecessarily is not the best way to approach a game in April against the Milwaukee Bucks without five of their best players in the lineup.
