Let Giannis Be The Man

Now that the Bucks are in the playoffs again, they really have the talent of one man to thank for it. Giannis is the superstar of this team, and even though he’s only 22-years-old, the Bucks will need to lean on him if they want to win these games.

Giannis might not have the same accolades that the 27 and 31-year-old DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry respectively, but make no mistake, he’s the best player on either of these two teams. To win, the Bucks are going to need more out of him than the 35.6 minutes per game and the 28.2 percent usage rate he posted in the regular season.

At age 21, LeBron James played 46.5 minutes per game in the playoffs, with a 33.5 percent usage rate. Kevin Durant at 21 played 38.5 minutes per game with a 34 percent usage rate. James Harden at 23 played 40.5 minutes per game with a 31 percent usage.

In terms of carry jobs in the NBA this season, Giannis might have been right behind Russell Westbrook for strongest back in the league. And when that’s the case, you’re going to have to play a lot and take a lot into your own hands in order to win.
