Biggest Bucks Surprise

AM: Which Buck has been the biggest surprise for you through the first two games?

BB: I had grown used to seeing Greg Monroe looking only half-awake on offense, so his prominent role has been a surprise. He’s still not much of a perimeter defender (did you see Cory Joseph waltz by him for an easy layup? Yikes!) but he’s competing hard on the low block and for boards. And he makes you pay for fouling him.

In limited minutes, Thon Maker appears to be a better two-way player than I expected. When his co-ordination catches up to his size in a few years, he’s going to be a well-rounded contributor.
