Credit to Kidd for Fixing His Rotations

Last night, we saw some important changes in the rotation that helped the Bucks keep their foot on the gas and close the game strong. Coach Jason Kidd‘s rotations have been wild and disappointing for much of the year, but complaints were few and far between on Thursday night.

The center position was cut to just two players, Thon Maker and Greg Monroe. After seeing Spencer Hawes be attacked at the rim repeatedly during his stints, it was clear he had no business being out there against this team. Maker and Monroe are just too effective.

Another important thing was removing Teletovic from the lineup. While the Bucks have found a lot of success when he’s played this year, that hasn’t been the case so far this postseason. Giving Beasley all the backup forward minutes behind Giannis and Khris was the right call, even if just for the fact that it kept Telly off the floor.

Beasley didn’t disappoint. He was 5-of-9 from the field, and hit all three of his shots from distance. He wasn’t abused by pick-and-rolls like Teletovic has been, either.

Jason Kidd has been criticized both fairly and unfairly by many Bucks fans all season long. But few could be critical of him last night. Credit to Kidd for doing a good job and fixing the problems this team had coming into the game.
