The Giannis Game?

Prior to the game, some fans had been wondering if they would get to see Giannis break out and have another high scoring game. While it may have come in a loss, fans got what they asked for.

Giannis individually had an excellent game. In typical Giannis fashion, he was effective all over the court, resulting in a stuffed stat sheet. He led all players with 30 points and nine rebounds, tied Serge Ibaka for blocks with three, and was only two behind the five steals of Khris Middleton.

He found success getting to the rim and finishing, something that had been a struggle in the past couple games. He didn’t settle for jumpers, and was effective finishing or getting to the line.

We saw many games like this in the regular season, but hadn’t seen a game like this from him yet in the playoffs. He set new single game career-highs in points, steals, and blocks in playoff games. Giannis’ effort was there all night and he made the most of his opportunities.

Giannis played his heart out for 41 minutes, which was the most of any player on either team. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t have much of a team around him, which would be the difference.
