Finale

A lot is made out of momentum in sports. Right now, it might seem as if the Toronto Raptors have this series in the bag. After winning two straight games against the Bucks, Toronto just needs one more W in the next two contests to win the series.

The truth is in sports, and especially in this series, momentum isn’t actually a thing. Just look at every major sporting event this past year. The Warriors blew a 3-1 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers after overcoming a 3-1 deficit to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The New England Patriots were down 28-3, but they came back and beat the Atlanta Falcons. Remember that this series was a tug-of-war in the first four games that saw the Bucks and Raptors switch victories.

So while this round one series may seem like a forgone conclusion, it’s not over until it’s over.
