Summer Focus and Final Grade

Jabari Parker had a great season before it was ended with the ACL injury against the Miami Heat which overshadows most of what he had been able to put together up until that point.

Going into the summer the hope for all Bucks fans has to be that he has a healthy and speedy recovery. As Parker said in his Players’ Tribune article in April:

"Because what we want is to overcome all of that — overcome everything that we’ve been through together — and still persevere. We want to keep working as a team … and growing as a team … and we want to just keep getting better."

The words may be written as WE, but it’s a strong statement on what Parker will be facing individually in the year ahead. The 21-year-old will need to persevere and overcome another ACL injury, while all of the time growing and getting better as a person and as a player.

For a season cut short by injury the easy way out would be to add an incomplete grade, but I think we saw more than enough to say Parker grew as a player by leaps and bounds this year.

BTBP Final Grade: B
