JeQuan Lewis

Guard – 6’1″

A well-rounded point guard who’s capable of stuffing the stat sheet, Lewis is as intriguing as it gets among guards fighting to get into the latter stages of the draft.

Lewis played in three games at the Portsmouth Invitational, and is said to have impressed with steady play that included a double-double. Lewis will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Treveon Graham, currently of the Charlotte Hornets, who impressed at Portsmouth as a VCU senior and ultimately found a spot in the NBA.

In his senior year, Lewis posted a stellar line of 15.2 points, 4.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 31.2 minutes per game. Although it was a slightly down year for the Tennessee native in terms of shooting, his career splits of 42.6/37.4/82.0 are more than respectable.

Lewis showed potential as a streaky scorer at VCU, with his instincts lending a little more toward that element of the game than pure playmaking.

If Lewis was to catch Milwaukee’s eye, he would of course be following in the footsteps of another VCU Ram, Larry Sanders.
