Payton II’s Game of the Season

Payton II was given the opportunity to play 32 minutes in the season finale against the Boston Celtics, while many of the regular Bucks players stayed in Milwaukee to rest before the playoffs.

Payton II handed out five assists, grabbed seven rebounds, added two blocks, and three points. This game stands out as an example of something Payton II could bring to the Bucks in the future, if he was to play in a limited role as a third guard off the bench.

This also paints a better picture of what Payton II did in the D-League, where he spent most of this season.

Among the notable achievements Payton II had during his time in Rio Grande Valley was a 51-point showing, where he took over and exerted his will on the Los Angeles D-Fenders. For as short as his NBA season was, it would be tough to talk about his best game of the year without mentioning that feat.
