The Best of Teletovic

A three-point specialist through and through, it certainly was invigorating to watch Teletovic when he was at his best this season.

Whether it was to keep up with or to pour it on a given opponent, Teletovic’s heat check-like effectiveness helped provide a spark, not only for himself but for others due to the attention he demanded from the opposing defense.

While all of his shooting numbers were down from his career best campaign in the year prior, Teletovic still managed to shoot 34.1 percent from three and averaged a 49.8 percent effective field goal percentage (though, that last mark is down from league average).

Ultimately, though, it was Teletovic’s ability to perform as a net positive that stood as his greatest attribute this year, despite his notable struggles.

Per NBA.com/stats, Teletovic finished with the fourth highest net rating (+3.4 points per 100 possessions) as well as the second highest defensive rating (103 points per 100 possessions) of any current player on the team, trailing only Jason Terry.

That last point isn’t to paint Teletovic as some plus-defender by any means, but it goes to show his ability to stay afloat on that end of the floor by helping provide capable defense at the very least.
