Teletovic’s Game of the Season
With expectations low heading into the year, it certainly came as a big surprise to see the shorthanded Bucks more than just hold their own coming out of the gates to start the season.
When the Sacramento Kings made their lone visit to Milwaukee back on November 5th, the Bucks delivered one of their more commanding performances of the season as they drubbed the Kings 117-91. Although the team’s cornerstones, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker, finished with fine nights respectively, it was Teletovic who came away as the standout performer.
Upon entering the game midway through the first quarter, Teletovic ignited as he sunk his first five attempts from beyond the arc on the night, bringing the people at the BMO Harris Bradley Center to their feet after each successive made three.
Of course, Teletovic struggled to keep up that offensive pace as the night wore on, but still managed to chip in two more threes before the game came to a close. When it was all said and done, Teletovic finished with 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting (all three-point attempts, by the way) as well as an assist, a block and was a plus-20 in his near 21 minutes of action.
With hindsight being 20/20, nights like these obviously came too few and far between for Teletovic this year, much to everyone’s aforementioned disappointment. But it was certainly a thrill to see Teletovic in the zone in the rare times that was the case.
