Summer Focus and Final Grade

With a tough season now in the books, the next few months will give Teletovic ample time to bounce back from this year for a key reason.

A fixture in his country’s national team, Teletovic will unfortunately have to watch this year’s edition of EuroBasket from home since Bosnia and Herzegovina failed to qualify for the tournament last year. Therefore, all that’s needed for Teletovic to prepare for next year is to bounce back from the struggles he endured this season.

As clichéd as that may be, it’s fair to have hope in Teletovic turning things around for next season, even more so after seeing how he’s fared in seasons after he’s struggled shooting the ball like he did this year.

To put it simply, Teletovic is as defined of a player as the Bucks have on the roster and asking him to do more or even change what has helped him ensure a lasting role in the NBA would be off base.

Mirza Teletovic’s first season with the Bucks was marred by inconsistency and it justifiably drew the ire of many Bucks fans this year (let the record show I never wavered). To his credit, however, Teletovic rolled with the punches and found a way of being effective on a team level, despite struggles in his own area of expertise.
