Monroe’s Game of the Season

It’s hard to pick against Game 1 of the Bucks first round series against the Raptors as the big man’s best performance of the season. Monroe was instrumental in leading the Bucks to a huge 97-83 upset, scoring 14 points to go along with 15 rebounds.

Monroe looked justifiably delighted during the post-game press conference when his play was highlighted. Two seasons of, sometimes justifiable, criticism washed over him, and for one night he got to take center stage:

Moose played an incredibly efficient series. He averaged 20.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per 36 minutes, to go along with exceptional advanced stats. Even though it all ultimately came in a losing effort, it was still a night and a series the big man could be proud of.
