Vaughn’s Moment of the Year

Despite all the negative aspects of Rashad Vaughn from this past season, Vaughn still managed to nearly single-handedly prevent the Bucks from starting off the year 0-2. After dropping their first game of the season, Milwaukee headed to Brooklyn to play the Nets in game two.

The Bucks struggled all night, and ended up winning by just two points against one of the worst teams in the Association. That version of the Bucks had not found itself yet, but still, we’re talking about the Brooklyn Nets here.

Vaughn poured in a team-high 22 points, as well as two rebounds and a block, in a bench-high 27 minutes of action. The biggest part of Vaughn’s night was two three-pointers made in a span of about 36 seconds that lifted the Bucks to a seven-point lead that Milwaukee managed to hold thanks to strong play from Jabari Parker and John Henson.

This game was a major catfish from the sophomore scorer-in-training. Vaughn wouldn’t score 20 points again all season–he topped out at 14 after the Brooklyn game, and only scored ten or more points three times for the rest of the season.
