Frank Mason III

Guard – 5’11”

Draft prospects don’t come much more decorated than Frank Mason III. Mason is the unanimous 2017 National Player of the Year, a consensus First Team All-American, and the Big 12 Player of the Year.

The 23-year-old managed to earn those honors in his senior year by being a dominant and assertive presence at the point guard position in spite of only measuring in at a diminutive 5’11”.

Mason has developed a reputation for coming up big in the clutch and never backing down from a challenge. Although this won’t go down as the most memorable season in Jayhawk history, Mason’s numbers are certainly worth the attention of NBA teams.

As a senior, the Virginia native averaged 20.9 points, 5.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 49 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from three-point range. His size will create concerns for how he’ll fare at the next level, but having shown incredible competitiveness in college, don’t rule out the possibility of him overcoming those challenges.
