T.J. Williams
Guard – 6’3″
Continuing the theme of Player of the Year point guards, Northeastern’s T.J. Williams was also in attendance on Monday, following a senior year that resulted in him being named the CAA Player of the Year.
As something of a late bloomer, Williams made major strides as a senior by putting together a season that bore little to no resemblance to his three previous seasons as a Husky.
Williams attempted 7.2 more field goal attempts per 40 minutes as a senior compared to his junior year, and that equated to 22.4 points per 40 minutes as opposed to a mark of 11.6 in the previous season.
A shift to the point guard position for his final year didn’t just result in a scoring bump, but also showed Williams to be a greatly improved distributor. Williams excels with the ball in his hands, and may still have some untapped potential as he continues to learn a role which he seems to be a more natural fit for.
