Although his averages have dropped in recent years, Evans is–or at least was–a scorer, first and foremost. He’s never scored less than 17 points per 36 minutes in an NBA season, a mark only Giannis, Jabari Parker, Michael Beasley, Greg Monroe, Spencer Hawes and Khris Middleton met on the Bucks last season.
His career average is noticeably worse, but Evans has become a better three-point shooter of late. He hit 38.8 percent of his triples in his last season spent completely with the Pellies, and 35.6 percent of them between his time with the Kings and the Pelicans last season.
Scoring is certainly what Tyreke Evans is best known for, but he does more than just score on the court. Across his career, Evans has averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He’s nothing if not productive statistically.
Grabbing Tyreke Evans in 2017 likely isn’t going to be a sexy signing, but with his ability to score from outside and function as an all-around wing player, he might just work out on the Bucks. Evans is not without his flaws, though.
