NBA Free Agency 2017 Player Profile: C.J. Miles

Salary
Well, let’s look at this logically. C.J. Miles could’ve re-upped with the Indiana Pacers and made $4.8 million next season. For him to decline that player option, he has to believe he’s going to make more than that figure, or at least that much on a deal that guarantees him additional years.
He should have no trouble finding that kind of offer in the open market. Shooters are desired by each and every NBA team, and there isn’t a single team that would say, “No, we don’t need any more shooters here, we’re good.” That makes this a fun summer for Miles.
D.J. Augustin, who also shot 40 percent from deep the year before he hit NBA free agency, got over $7 million per season from the Orlando Magic. Solomon Hill got $12 million per season from the New Orleans Pelicans. Eric Gordon got $13.25 million per season, and Wesley Johnson got $6 million per season.
There’s a wide range on shooter salaries in the NBA, because so much depends on the teams and player involved, but with the Pacers likely wanting Miles to return the market on him will start off busy if any other teams come calling. There’s a good chance C.J. Miles gets paid well this summer.
