Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from Summer League loss to LA Clippers

Battle of the Bigs
In the absence of Thon Maker, the Bucks rotation of Summer League centers is mostly made up of Stephen Zimmerman and Tim Kempton Jr. Zimmerman and Kempton got similar burn on Monday night, with the former getting 14 minutes and the latter getting 15 minutes and the start.
Kempton played first, so we’ll start with him. He shot two-for-six from the field and took four threes, although he was only able to knock down one of them. He rebounded well though, ending his night with six points, six boards, one assist, one turnover and seven personal fouls (ah, Summer League basketball).
Zimmerman put up just five points, but it only took him three shots to do so, and he made two of them. He also converted on an and-one free throw and added three rebounds, one assist, one block, one turnover and three personal fouls.
The energy Kempton exerts is great, and truthfully Zimmerman could use a bit more pep in his step and some added physicality, especially on the glass. Still, Kempton picking up seven fouls isn’t ideal. It’d be great if these two could split the difference between their energy levels and both get better in the process.
