Bucks select D.J. Wilson and Sterling Brown in the NBA Draft
With the 17th pick in the Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks selected DJ Wilson out of Michigan. At 6’10” with a 7’3″ wingspan, Wilson fits the Bucks’ vision of length and versatility perfectly. He has demonstrated shooting touch out to the three-point line and has the length necessary to become a force on the defensive end.
The Bucks also acquired Sterling Brown in the second round with a trade from the 76ers. Brown projects as the ever more valuable three-and-D type of role player. He has good size for the shooting guard position at 6’6″ and could push Rashad Vaughn for backup minutes at the two.
Both rookies should be able to get minutes this season, as coach Jason Kidd tends to give rookies a chance early.
