SF – Giannis Antetokounmpo: 93 overall
Start of 2K17: 83
End of 2K17: 90
This might seem like an optimistic number for Giannis, but it is also an achievable one. It has been seen in the past that the developers of 2K have given higher ratings to either former superstars on the tail end of their careers or players that attract a large fan base. With Antetokounmpo’s propensity for preposterous highlights, he is one of the most electric players in the league and a fan-favorite.
Coupling that with his freakish length and athleticism, Giannis’s playing style yields well to being a player that gamers would love to play with. That being said, his real-life play and statistics make him a player that is strongly considered to be a top-10 player in the entire league. All of the top-10 (according to 2K) were rated 90+ this past season, and the ratings look to be higher this year.
Paul George is currently the highest known player to be rated (91 overall), and most would consider Giannis to be a step above PG13 as a player (even those without bias towards the Bucks).
