Point Guard

There isn’t a ton of competition here, honestly. Sidney Moncrief played some point guard in Milwaukee, but he was more of a shooting guard than anything else, so for our intents and purposes here we’ll leave Squid until later.

Oscar Robertson is a pretty obvious choice. No, the Big O wasn’t as good in Milwaukee as he was in Cincinnati. He never averaged a triple-double while playing for the Bucks like he did for the Royals.

Still, Oscar was a damn good point guard in Milwaukee. Obviously he’s going to be remembered fondly for winning a title with the Bucks, and it could certainly be argued that Milwaukee might have no rings were it not for Oscar.

His production dipped year after year with the Bucks due to his advanced age, but Big O still averaged 16.3 points, 7.5 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game in Milwaukee. We’ll take 1970-71 Oscar, who put up 19.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.7 boards per game on nearly 50 percent field goal shooting.

Lineup so far: Oscar Robertson
