While this isn’t the Bucks first post-Christmas game, it’s still safely in that Christmas break zone between Christmas Day and New Years Day, meaning lots of fans will likely have some of these days off, either from work or from school, or both.

The opponent is crucial here. It’s Milwaukee’s first game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2017-18, a milestone that wouldn’t have mattered much last season but now means quite a bit. Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins are each another year older, and Jimmy Butler is in town now.

With both teams having young, likable superstars and a close geographical proximity, this rivalry could end up being something special. Giannis vs Towns is going to be a great battle of the titans to watch going forward, that’s for sure.

It’ll be cold in downtown Milwaukee, but Bucks fans doubtlessly won’t mind traversing through some inclement weather and conditions to watch their team throw down with the Timberwolves at 7 p.m. on this wintery Thursday evening — or they can stay in and catch the game on TV!
