Milwaukee Receives: Kenneth Faried

Denver Receives: John Henson, Rashad Vaughn

Once considered part of the Bucks core, John Henson has fallen out of the rotation and will likely stay near the end of the bench for the 2017-18 season. Even with Spencer Hawes being waived, Henson will have a hard time finding minutes with Thon Maker and Greg Monroe ahead of him.

Given that Maker has a high ceiling and a decently high floor, the Bucks will most likely let him keep his starting role in his second year as they try and develop him into a star. Greg Monroe is going into a contract year, and with money for old-school big men basically non-existent, Moose will have a lot to prove as a sixth man, and will likely produce.

The Manimal has been a staple of the Nuggets rotation ever since his rookie season. With that said, Denver has found their franchise centerpiece in Nikola Jokic, and surrounded him with the likes of Paul Millsap, Gary Harris, and Jamal Murray. The addition of Millsap in particular is what may be the move that finally gets Denver into the second tier of the Western Conference. Millsap also makes Kenneth Faried disposable, given they share the same position.

Moving on from Faried might be on the cards for Denver, and Milwaukee may be the team to deal him to. John Henson could be a serviceable backup center behind Jokic, and given the latter’s inabilities on defense, Henson could be the defensive backup five the Nuggets need. Rashad Vaughn would also be included as a young player with room for growth, to make up for the discrepancy in ability between Faried and Henson.
