How does Brogdon fit in?

A tall guard, with a long wingspan, excellent instincts on both ends of the court, and a trustworthy shooting stroke, the truth is that Malcolm Brogdon would fit in on almost any team in today’s NBA.

Considering the shape of the Bucks’ roster, and the skills and deficiencies of their best players, Brogdon’s fit feels even more important to the Bucks than it arguably would with other teams, though.

This is particularly evident on the offensive end of the floor, where Brogdon is more than capable of stepping up to take on a bigger role if needed, but can also help the team to click up a gear by occasionally taking more of a backseat for his star teammates too.

With a unique talent like Giannis Antetokounmpo, it’s the things that Brogdon doesn’t do that are perhaps most important to how he functions, and how the team performs as a whole with him on the court.

Brogdon’s maturity and discipline prevents him from putting up a spate of poor shots, or trying to force reckless passes to teammates. Instead, he possesses the ability to play his own controlled brand of basketball, and to positively influence his teammates with that calming presence.
