Milwaukee Bucks: Greg Monroe season preview 2017-2018

What is Monroe saying?

While Monroe seems to always say more with his expressions than he could possibly say with his words, he did provide a few insightful quotes on media day.

When asked if the team expects to host or perhaps win a first round series, Monroe left no doubt that the team plans to improve upon last year’s success.

"“We were able to get into the playoff last year, but one of our goals is definitely playing in multiple rounds. That is something as a team we talked about and it is one of our main goals.”"

Monroe was also asked specifically about his personal goals entering the season, and if Sixth Man of the Year is something he is thinking about.

"“Yeah it’s something in my mind for sure, but I understand that that comes with team success. I would much rather be a champion.”"

Again Monroe did not back down from expectations. Monroe’s comments suggest that while he is happy with his bench role in Milwaukee, there are still personal expectations he plans to meet.
