Wisconsin Herd: Getting to know the training camp roster

A player most Wisconsinites should be familiar with watching, Vitto Brown joined the Herd by way of the local player tryouts G League teams run to find diamonds in the rough.

Brown is fresh off a successful career playing for the Wisconsin Badgers where the Bowling Green native made two trips to the Final Four and one trip to the National Championship in 2015. However, it was in his junior and senior seasons where Brown carved out a more significant role with the team and earned two straight trips to the Sweet Sixteen.

During his four years in Madison, Brown averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 16 minutes per game over 120 total appearances.

Only time will tell whether Brown can ultimately make the team’s final roster heading into the season, but it feels safe in saying his presence on the team will only add more hometown flavor to the Herd.
