Wisconsin Herd: Getting to know the training camp roster
Kyle Casey
Coming to the Herd by way of the expansion draft held in the summer, Kyle Casey will look to make an instant impact on the team once the season gets going.
Since going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, Casey has logged the majority of his professional career overseas, playing for teams in both Israel and Slovenia.
However, the Harvard product has a season’s worth of experience playing on the G League level with the-then Bakersfield Jam (now Northern Arizona Suns) in the 2015-16 season. In 50 appearances that season, Casey averaged 8.0 points on 43.1 percent shooting from the field, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
What kind of role the 6’7″ forward will play for the Herd remains to be seen, but they’ll undoubtedly lean on him once the year tips off.
