The Mecca was rocking

Can the Bucks make this a permanent thing? Thursday night at the MECCA had an electric feel and I think we can all agree an annual return to the MECCA would be good for everyone.

It’s obvious, with a maximum capacity of only 10,783, nearly half the size of the Bradley center, why the team would not want to make a habit of playing games in the old arena. That’s understandable, but as well as Thursday night’s game went, it would be a shame if they did not at least pay homage to the old arena with a throw-back game using the old court design and uniforms every once in a while.

The atmosphere was amazing, the building was packed, and you could feel the energy through the TV screen. Playing the Boston Celtics helped, of course, but it really did feel like a playoff game on Thursday night.

The aesthetics of the game were perfect, as the court looked great and the uniforms were amazing, if the shorts were a little higher you could have convinced me I was watching a game in the early 80s.
