Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 126-121 loss to Charlotte Hornets
The president sets a precedent
Following his rather unexceptional performance against the Thunder, Malcolm Brogdon bounced back last night against the Hornets.
Brogdon was the first scorer on the board for the Bucks and he only added to his scoring total by cutting to the basket on multiple occasions and sinking a pair of first half three-pointers.
The second half was a different story, however, as Brogdon’s scoring pace drastically fell off as he struggled to find the same success from the field as he had during the first 24 minutes of the contest. To go along those lines, Brogdon had the unenvious task of having to check All-Star point guard Kemba Walker, who put on a fabulous 26-point scoring display during his time on the floor.
All in all, the Virginia product scored 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field (2-of-4 from deep), added one board, had four assists and one turnover in close to 37-and-a-half minutes of action.
Despite the drop off in effectiveness, it was still a solid performance that Brogdon will look to build on, only next time coming with positive results.
