Major key for Milwaukee – Keep Giannis out of foul trouble

The Bucks come into Friday’s game having lost two straight games for the first time this season, and it’s no coincidence that both of those games also included Giannis Antetokounmpo getting into early foul trouble.

While Giannis managed to battle through it and still put in an impressive individual display against the Thunder, while playing the Hornets in Charlotte his foul difficulties clearly put him out of rhythm and resulted in easily his worst game of the season so far.

It’s no secret that the Bucks will go as far as Giannis will take them, and that sentiment was only further illustrated by the Bucks falling short to the Hornets even with a career-high 43 points from Khris Middleton.

Jason Kidd summed up the problem simply when speaking to Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel following the loss to the Hornets:

"“We’ve been living in foul trouble. Giannis has been in foul trouble, Khris has been in foul trouble, we’ve had our bigs in foul trouble. We’ve got to learn to not foul.”"

The Bucks need their best player most of all, and will hope to have a more regular minutes pattern for him on Friday.
