Milwaukee Bucks: Ranking Eric Bledsoe among point guards of last decade
By Ben Sewell
4. Malcolm Brogdon
Statistics – 10.9 points, 4.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds
Seasons in Milwaukee – 2016-present
How he was acquired – Drafted 36th, 2016
Malcolm Brogdon has been nothing short of a revelation since he was drafted in the second round in 2016. Brogdon suits this team perfectly as a predominately off-ball point guard who can shoot from deep at an elite level.
For his career thus far, Brogdon has shot 41.2 percent from three and has really upped his game this season, shooting at over 48 percent so far.
Brogdon is an excellent defender also, and with a long wingspan he works perfectly in this Bucks’ defensive scheme. Most impressive for Brogdon, though, is his demeanour both on and off the court and his ability to be a leader in this young team.
Brogdon will be 25 years of age at the end of this year which certainly does not fit the bill of a second year player. His time in college and work away from basketball allows him to be a mentor to the younger members of this team and a vital cog in the leadership group.
Brogdon is certainly not the flashiest of players on this list, but his ability to give 100 percent and do what is asked of him night in and night out makes him so valuable to this current Bucks’ roster.
