Milwaukee Bucks: Grades from 94-87 win over San Antonio Spurs

A-. The Eric Bledsoe era in Milwaukee has begun as the star point guard exploded out of the block with an excellent debut game for the Bucks. Bledsoe finished the night with 13 points, four rebounds and seven assists, including an alley-oop lob to Giannis Antetokounmpo which sent Bucks’ Twitter into meltdown. Shooting 1-of-5 from distance hurts, but otherwise this was a near perfect start to Bledsoe’s career in Milwaukee. Guard. Milwaukee Bucks. ERIC BLEDSOE

Milwaukee Bucks. KHRIS MIDDLETON. B. An interesting game for Khris Middleton as to the naked eye, as he appeared to be in the midst of another horror night. But a look down at the box score reveals Middleton finished with 13 points and eight rebounds while hitting a clutch jumper down the stretch to take the game away from the Spurs. Middleton still doesn’t appear to be anywhere near top form at this stage and is forcing several shots a game, but with the addition of Bledsoe, perhaps the need for this will be diminished over the coming games and Middleton can go about settling back into his normal routine soon.. Guard/Forward

A. It was just another night for Giannis Antetokounmpo as he finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Most encouraging, however, was his link up play with Bledsoe as the two combined for several highlight plays. It’s amazing how far Antetokounmpo has come that a 28/12/5 performance in a win is just another night for the Greek Freak. One sour note for Antetokounmpo however was his free throw shooting, finishing the night with 4-of-8, including two misses in the fourth quarter. Jason Kidd putting his wallet on the line for the team is one thing, but Antetokounmpo and Co. still have to hit them and on Friday, he and the rest of the side struggled.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks.
